Mainly set up as a take-away, it's fun to sit and eat a share plate Ethiopian style. Fresh, tasty food served by friendly people. The coffee is also good, single Ethiopian beans roasted on site and made by Tewodros. If you get the chance, he is also an interesting bloke to talk to. Tip: watch the video on the Facebook page so you eat the food without making too big a mess.

My friends and I shared a mixed platter. Great experience using the fermented flat bread (injera) to pick up the curries. All were delicious but the beetroot accompaniment was a bit boring. Great value for money. Great service with a guy who is obviously very passionate about his culture and food. We felt very welcome. Definitely going again and will use for a healthy, good quality takeaway in the future too.

Had a last-minute dinner here and was very impressed with the food. We had the mixed meat Combi Plate for three. When it came out I was initially annoyed at paying $22/head for what looked like an entree size meal....boy was I wrong. We all struggled to finish it and really enjoyed the variety of tastes on the plate. A great way for those new to Ethiopian food, to try. The restaurant offers both traditional and western style ways of eating. I highly recommend the Ethiopian style - adds to the experience.

Wanted to give Gojo a try - the food & way you eat is different and interesting. We had a mixed platter and found the meat curries to be tasty, but veg options just average. All served with an unusual bread which we'd never had anything like.Highlight was the owner/chef ? Giving us a 'guided tour' of the kitchen & intimate details of what spices are used, how things are prepared and some background story to the food and the restaurant. On that basis alone we'll be beach to try some of his recommended popular and traditional dishes.Won't be for everyone but recommended for a change.

My partner has been longing to go here since it appeared on the corner, so when we finally got to go we probably had hyped it up too much. Menu is short but sweet, we decided on the meat for 2 and a few entrees. The first few dishes were very nice. When the main plate came it looked very impressive, its huge! The meats were nice, my only issue was the bread as I found it a bit too much and quite sour. After a while I was reaching for water to add some variety. I would like to try again with perhaps rice to break it up, and I am intrigued by the vegetarian menu.

Suggested by a friend. Menu is short and to the point, food is absolutely delicious and the owner was lovely. Reasonable prices with large servibg sizes. Would highly recommend!

This is a brand new Ethiopian restaurant and cafe in Indooroopilly. There is a sit down cafe area for coffee and a kitchen for mainly takeaway. We had a group of 12 to order for, so we basically tried everything on the menu for our takeaway meal. There are some very good vegetarian dishes - the Ater Kik (yellow split peas with tumeric and ginger) was the favourite as well as excellent meat dishes such as Doro Wot (spicy chicken) and Dereq Tibs (sauteed lamb with herbs). The injera (flat bread) was excellent.Price was very reasonable, with the most expensive meal being $17.Most of our group had not eaten Ethiopian food before, so were very happy to try and loved it. Will definitely be eating more Ethiopian food from here.

The ambience is not that really classy as most Melb Ethiopian Restourant but very clean & great hospitality. Enjoyed the food it's BYO and great value for
