My wife and I stopped over for a light meal at the Goose Bar & Kitchen recently on our way to Margaret River. The steak sandwich was well prepared, tender steak served with lettuce, beetroot, tomato and thankfully not dripping in mayo like so many other cafe do. The hand-cut chips were crisp and not soggy and did not appear to have come out of a frozen packet. The kitchen staff obliged my wife with a chicken salad which was not on the menu. Our friends joined us for a equally pleasant and tasty selection of meals from the menu. The staff were attentive without being overbearing and the service good
We come to The Goose a few times a year when we are in Busselton so have ordered a variety from the menu (breakfast, lunch & dinner) and have interacted with many staff members. Each time we go to The Goose the service is fantastic and the food delicious. Portion sizes are excellent and we never leave feeling disappointed. The view is beautiful and with the extension of the boardwalk it really is a lovely place to sit for a coffee, cocktail or meal and watch the world go by. Really fabulous place. Highly recommend you give it a try!
Thanks to the Goose for hosting a fantastic Sunday afternoon of drinks and nibbles for my husbands 40th Birthday. Thanks Chef for opening platters and all the great staff. Easiest most enjoyable birthday for all.
My husband and I came last Sunday night and I liked the look of his mains so much that we came again for lunch today. It was a blustery day but we were cosy inside. We both shared a soft shell crab slider (2 per serve $16) then I ordered duck breast , confit duck leg and side veggies. Phil had a steak which was slightly overcooked but still very tasty and very tender. Our friend had the duck mains and chocolate Beetroot cake which we helped her with. A bottle of Margaret River bubbles and lots of interesting chatting completed our day. Terrific food and great service. The bill came to about $180. Thank you.
Jetty view! casual dining place, good food and beverage. Gets quite busy during evening. after a long drive it's a good place to drop by drinks.
We drove from Perth to Margaret River and this was the ideal spot to stop for a well earned break from the long drive. Superb outlook looking towards the beautiful ocean, solid food and nice drinks choices... the Busselton Jetty is right there so perfect to continue a great day in Busselton - there was also a lot of work being undertaken by the council to improve the foreshore, so it will be even better around The Goose! Top spot
While filling in time before the Bussellton Jetty tour my husband and I indulged in a thoroughly decadent breakfast of pancakes. Delicious - definitely recommend
Stopped here after a visit to the Busselton Jetty. Friendly welcome and we were seated by the window overlooking the jetty. Lovely outlook over the water. Place was busy, wait staff friendly and efficient. Coffee and tea good, piece of cake very nice also. Lots of lovely cakes, slices and biscuits on display for morning or afternoon tea. Bit noisy towards end of visit. Inside and outdoor seating, looked like a good place for breakfast also.
