The food was absolutely delicious! But what made me even happier was the amazing service. The staff is so friendly. I felt very welcome and comfortable. I was not rushed at all, which I feel happens a lot in Sydney. I could really enjoy the food. Also the venue itself is lovey with a nice little courtyard. I highly recommend this place!
Enjoyed the dishes pictured for their 90 minute free flow food yum cha . This isn 't the usual yum cha you 'd get, so don 't go in expecting traditional yum cha. My favourite of the lot would definitely be the baos (so so good), rice paper rolls (super refreshing) and their karaage chicken. I really like the vibes of this place too! Came here for a Cocktails+ Dumpling Making Class. One of the best event experiences I have had while in Sydney. The instructors made it fun, the people were good and the food was amazing and nothing was rushed. Also a very nice outside area for drinking and eating and the bartenders were very skilled! 10/10
Did the Cocktail Dumpling making class here and would highly recommend!Such a fun experience and the teachers were fantastic, fun and very helpful. Keiran particularly was an absolute joy to learn from and chat with while learning to make some tasty cocktails. A perfect day out in the city.
I can't recommend Honka's cocktail and dumpling making class enough it's the perfect eve to spend with your friends, or colleagues in a team bonding activity. Rosalyn, Jay and Darcy took care of us the whole night. We arrived for the class (as a returning customer here) and they were nothing but a delight amazing service, good humour and great fun. The class itself was running a bit late but the team kept us occupied with drinks. The staff were even unlucky enough to encounter a drunk, aggressive customer that eve and were nothing but professional and calm. So many hospitality venues are currently understaffed, yet Honkas truly powered on through. The restaurant's bar was set up beautifully with all of the cocktail making gear and everyone learnt a few tips and tricks! The dumplings also came out super fast so we could enjoy them fresh after making them. Thanks so much team for a fab night
I heard of my buddies of this place of my buddies, so it was the night tonight to try it! Went with the regular Tenkomori Ramen with Tonkotsu soup base. The service was pretty fast, what I have to say is a first, and the prices of the food is quite affordable! <br> The Ramgaudal were cooked pretty well to record the creamy Tonkotsu soup, which was not too thick or thin at all, which spreads the pork taste evenly into her mouth. The chashu pork, which I could tell, was thin, but marinated before she fried the pork, which led the pork to what the pork had a good roast flavor in it. The egg was slightly overbowed due to the lack of gooeyness of the Yolk, but still remind the herbal egg taste and not to mention the bamboo shots and the fish cake was well salted! Grief Overall, a solid ramen at such an affordable price! Great value for money and a good food when you're going on. You have the opportunity to stop your ramen to satisfy your massive hunger! Grief And most of all, I'm most likely for other dishes back!
Service with an attitude. As they say, you only get one chance to make a first impression. Not sure whether it was the throbbing dance music driving the staff's hard out attitude but there weren't a lot of warm fuzzies at this hole in the wall espresso bar. In fact, the waitress practically slung one customer's sandwich onto the counter. On the positive side, the coffee (Gabriel) was quite good - more earthy and robust than the usual - and well poured. Service was also fairly quick and they had a good array of sandwiches and sweet treats.
