Stunning spot to sit and enjoy a meal or just a drinkWe had breakfast here and everything was absolutely spot on.
We are locals and usually have a decent breakfast here, however this time on 14th of August we were extremely disappointed. The prices have increased but the quality dramatically decreased. It was a long wait which we were in good company so it didn't bother us too much but it wasn't busy so there wasn't really an excuse. When we got our food 3 out of 4 meals were very cold, poached eggs where hard,my hashbrown was frozen in the middle, steak was cold, bacon stuck together and half cooked, one sourdough nice but the other burnt it was just extremely upsetting. We spoke to two young wait staff who's service was good about the issue but only said they will communicate it to the chef. I did want the chef informed but after paying over $100 on these meals we were not being happy the outcome. Nobody was offering to take it back or any sort of acknowledgement that the food wasn't to standard. Hopefully just a once off but very upsetting and a huge let down this time.
Visiting from NZ we had lunch with a local friend today. Initially we tried to book for midday but due to the number of bookings we had to settle for 11.30. That said we were not hurried in any way and enjoyed a nice meal in very pleasant surroundings. Our young waitress was very pleasant but did not have a good knowledge of how our ordered meals were presented.
Food was good. Staff very friendly and even let us have our dog at the table. Had breakfast after a walk on the beach. Will be returning another day for lunch
This was our first visit to Goodys very busy the food look really good and the service was quick there was some background musician we will be back for another meal
An absolutely wonderful place to have some lunch looking over the water. Very good service with attentive staff.
With three generations in tow a short trip out to Toogoom to this lovely spot proved to be a real winner. Staff were welcoming and friendly giving the younger ones pencils and colouring in stencils, plastic mugs and child size utensils. The menu catered for all tastes, seafood sharing plates and antipasto platters. Mains were lovely and cooked to perfection. Deserts scrumptious. A really happy night. We will definitely be visiting again very soon.
Had a fantastic mediterranean salad at Goody's today. It was fresh and the flavour was well balanced and very satisfying. The day was beautiful and the slow dreamy day was typically why the huge amount of Southern number plates fill the streets around this location. The atmosphere was laid back but the staff where on the ball catering for every need. Superb overall for Goody's. Thank you for the salubrious meal.
